I am a fairly recent owner of the windows 10 XPS15. I am fairly happy with it as the bugs seem to be taking care of themselves. Initially had all kinds of sign in problems. Sometimes I could not sign into my Microsoft Groove music account and/or the MS game apps (I think these are all Xbox accounts). If I would switch from logging in using a pin number to Microsoft account I could sign in. This problem kept occurring and now it never happens, but I was almost at a point where I wanted to return the laptop.
I also would get a lot of display driver not working problems, and this especially happened with hooked up to external monitor. It would be a just a brief moment when display would blank out and come back on. And I would also get messages where there was a problem and computer had to restart, very annoying when doing work.
These problems seem to be happening less and less which leads to two questions -
Is the display driver problem not uncommon and generally fixed with updates? Also does being hooked up to an external monitor cause this? Again the problem seems to be happening less and less,
Also, does Dell support call customers because of the error reports? I got a phone call from a restricted number. It sounded like a boiler room but many support centers do. The person said he was calling because of the Dell error reports but I pretty much cut him off because I get the "I am calling from Microsoft because you have a virus" call and I know that is a scam. I suspect the call from "Dell" was not from Dell and a scam as well.
