Audio static and crackle when unplugging power cord - 2016 Inspiron 13"

Hi,

I have a new Inspiron 7359 and whenever I am listening to something, and unplug the power, the sound goes staticy and crackles for a few seconds. It does this in addition to continuing to play whatever I am listening to. Plugging in the power does nothing, its only when unplugging it.

Is this a known issue with this computer, or do I have a hardware defect and I should return it?

Im getting a loud hum from my external speakers plugged into the headphone jack of my laptop. However the hum is only there when I power down the laptop. Ive unplugged the power and booted using the laptop battery and then powered down and it still hums, even when the power cord is unplugged. I tried plugging in a different portable speaker with a different audio cable and got the same hum when powered down. when the laptop is powered on I have no issues with hum or buzz and the audio sound is just fine. Its only when i power down or put the laptop to sleep. I dont wanna have to unplug the headphone jack every time i power down.

I also tried my wifes asus laptop with my speakers and everything was fine. Ive updated all drivers etc etc and ran many diagnostic tools available with dell support assist and had no success

Inspiron 15 7000 series won't "hear" USB Audio Devices

I've been trying various external audio devices in my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series laptop: Blue Icicle, Zoom H4N, M-Audio M-Track (MkII) but I can't get any audio from any of them.

They install fine and show up in the "Sound/RecordingDevices" menu in Contro Panel/Settings ... and on all the programmes I'm using: Skype, Cubase etc. but no sound. And these devices work on other laptops, just not this one.

And they used to work on this one, but not any more.

Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it, please?

Thanks

Johnny

No sound when connecting additional DELL screen by HDMI to DELL Inspiron 15 5000

i have just purchased a DELL Inspiron 15 5000 SERIES - 5559 with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed in Spanish. I have also purchased a DELL 24" additional screen SE2416H.

Whilst watching live internet broadcasts (TV, Youtube etc.) on Chrome, Edge or Firefox, as soon as I connect the screen to the laptop by HDMI cable, the sound on my laptop speakers disappears. Upon disconnection of the HDMI screen cable, the sound re-appears.

However, the sound doesn't disappear when using other sound applications such as Skype.

This means I can't enjoy watching internet TV with sound on the 24" screen.

Please advise how to fix this as the main point of purchasing the 24" screen was precisely to be able to watch (and listen to) TV programs.

I've got no sound issue with my brand new Dell XPS 13, the laptop tries to click with some sort of a sound each time i start OS and on media files. If I plug headphones sound plays in one ear adding awful glitches each time I switch windows of scroll the browser.

I've tried to reinstall OS from scratch - no effect. Bug appeared after chipset and bios update by Dell Update, manual revert to bios 1.3 doesn't help.

Sound out of headphone but not speakers

I have the Inspiron 5755, Windows 10, 2T HD, 12 GB of ram, 64 bit.  A few days ago, a message started popping up on my screen saying that I plugged in a device, and then immediately it would say I had unplugged a device and it would do that over and over.  Now I cannot hear anything from the speakers, but I can through my headphones.  Every now and then I can hear from the speakers for a few minutes.  I have tried about every suggestion that was posted about this problem on the internet, with no luck.  Yes my drivers are up to date.  Any suggestions?  I've only had this since December 2015.  Thank you for any help!

Someone said I could use external speakers but am not not sure what kind to use.

Sound and mic Problem in dell Latitude E6410

I recently bought a Dell Latitude E6410 with Win 10. I have problem with its sound and mic. When I active the mic, I don't have sound on internal speaker, when I fix the sound, then the mic doesn't work. If I add an external mic it does work with sound together but not in all apps. For example, they don't work together on Skype.

When I used Dell driver checks, it showed me the BIOS needs to be updated, but when I want to update it gives me error.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

I am using XPS 15 L502X laptop. From 1st Jul 2016 my laptop subwoofer starts shuttering. I guess this is after Windows 10 upgrade patch. I tried to revert my patch upgrade but no luck. I guess my drivers are corrupt.

Please let me know from where can I download its drivers or how to disable this JBL subwoofer?

Inspiron 7559 - sound is awful until I reconnect external speakers

Hello all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 7559 laptop that I bought about a month ago.  When I hook it up to my external speakers and start up a game such as WoW, the sound that comes out of the speakers sounds awful... like it's a way lower bitrate than it shoudl be, missing depth and fullness... almost as if it were coming out of one of those old pc speakers.

If I unplug the speakers, let the OS realize they were disconnected, then plug them back in again, it works fine.

Anyone see this before?

White Noise coming from speaker

I have a Dell Inspiron 14.  Lately whenever I open a browser IE or Chrome...and have something that requires audio, such as youtube for example or a video on FB etc...and I click play the left speaker on the laptop starts to emit a static white noise of sound.  This occurs only on the left speaker and occurs even if I mute the volume.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this and how I can fix?

Thanks in advance....

Dell Inspiron N5110 not starting up

The laptop appears to be dead. You plug the AC adapter but the LEDs (power light, hard drive light, battery charge light, etc…) do not light up and the laptop does not react at all if you press on the power button.

Please suggest.

Latitude E5420, Microphone Doesn't Work, Win 10

Hey guys,

We just upgraded our office of 50 people to Windows 10 from 7.  Pretty much the whole office it worked fine for, except my boss.  We can't get his microphone to work again and can't find the drivers on dell's website.  It's a Dell Latitude E5420.  I'm not sure if it's a Realtek internal speaker or what, but we've tried a few drivers on their site as well.  Any ideas would be great!

Thanks!

XPS M1530 running Windows 7 Professional

Hello all!

I just got this laptop from a friend who refurbishes computers.  At first the speakers were working, but we couldn't figure out what was wrong with the mic.  After doing some digging online I found that we needed to download a driver in order for the hardware to be compatible with windows 7.  Well I downloaded what I though was the necessary driver and now the speakers AND the mic aren't working at all.  I'm guessing I downloaded the incorrect driver and now I'm not exactly sure how to fix the issue without performing a restore.  Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!

7359 2-in-1: No sound from speakers after BIOs update

$

Hi all,

Recently purchased a 7359 2-in-1, and have been more or less satisfied - except for one glaring problem: There is no sound from the speakers (and despite checking all the properties, etc) after the latest Dell BIOs update - WS-01.08.00.exe.

I have spoken repeatedly with Dell Service, who sought without success to find a solution, and I even did a full factory restore - nothing worked until (and after much aggravation and searching on forum boards...) - I downgraded the BIOs to a previous version: (01.06.00,A05 26 Feb 20167:37:58 AM).

I have the sound back now, but - this can't be acceptable for a factory fresh device, can it?

Also, as a side note, is there any way to enable stereo mix (recording online/waveout), as I've had on my previous Dell XPS 13 and Inspiron? It's not a "right-click-enable-disabled" issue either - it's just not there on this machine, unless I want to dare to add a registry value - not something for the fainthearted on a new laptop...

Suggestions, anyone?

Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver

I tried to update this driver (Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus) on my computer, but I receive an error every time. It has a yellow exclamation mark by it. I have windows 10 and a Dell Inspiron 15-3521. It shows under "other devices" in my device manager, but should be under "sound, video, and game controllers."

The device status is:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

How can I fix this error?
