The headphone jack is broken (I can listen to music, if i hold the headphone jack in a right position). I want to exchange the mic jack and the headphone jack, by the software. Can you help me?

I have a Dell Latitude E7440. I recently purchased a Voxoa BTunes Bluetooth adapter for Bose QC25. When connected to the laptop, there is a noticeable background hiss while sound is playing. When no sound plays, there is no hiss.
However, when it is connected to my iPhone, there is no hiss while sound is playing. This leads me to believe that it is an issue with the laptop. I have upgraded my Bluetooth drivers, and I have had no success. I was hoping that somebody could help me out. I currently have the Realtek audio drivers installed, and i have tested it with the standard drivers, and the hiss is still present.

every time a program activates the speakers, like a media player or even scrolling through facebook when a video comes up, they make a pop. It is very distracting and i'm worried it could lead to more issues in the future. The Realtek driver is up to date. i7 8 GB of RAM 64 bit Windows 10.

This should be a simple fix, but can software developers at Dell please update the audio drivers on the XPS 15 9550? I shouldn't have to restart my computer after unplugging my headphones because no audio will play from the speakers. Nor should I have to restart it during Skype calls, as the microphone will pick up no input after headphone use (even though it shows in the Sound Panel that it should).

hello i have a problem with my 1 week old dell inspiron 7559,when media is playing(videos,music,games etc.) sometimes there is a noise stopping the music,video or whatever for one second and then plays again,i have updated wireless and HDD drivers but still does it,
any suggestions?

When playing fullscreen the sound is mute on my Marantz receiver connected to my TV. When it changes resolution it looks like the handshake breaks, so no sound anymore. Exit the game and all is well. Using windowed mode all is well. Even full screen windowed mode does work. I feel like I don't get the full potential of the 960M card then however. So, what't up with that?
hello...i have a line in problem with my dell inspiron 5520.
when i plug in my keyboard(korg pa900) the sound comes a litlle later with few ms.i mean when i press a key from te keyboard the sound comes a litlle later.it has a latency...i did not had this problem before.I made update to win10 from win7 and apears this problem.I reinstaled win7 and it`s the same problem.I instaled all drivers from dell site and nothing.it`s the same thing.it`s not normal.the sound should hear instantly.

The dell audio driver for the realtek soundcard in my laptop is very bad, it delivers a dull sound, with almost no bass and really loud on high frequencies.
In other thread someone suggested using windows native driver and that works but:
I use a p2 headset with mic and that does not work with windows driver (mic + audio in the same p2 pin)
Is there anyway to use windows native driver and make the headset mic work?
Why does dell release such a bad quality driver since the hardware is perfectly capable of delivery good sound?

My laptops sounds gone very bad after maxxaudio is gone. Low bass etc. It's happen after upgrading my windows 8.1 to windows 10

I've dell inspiron 5437 14R. please help bring me back my waxemaxx audio.
Just trying to listen to iTunes to make my day go by quicker but my external speakers wouldn't work. I searched through forum and found similar issues so I uninstalled Realtek and now I have no sound at all. I've attempted to reinstall an earlier version of the Realtek drivers but it won't install. It need my tunes :(
New 17 R3 delivered today. No subwoofer. Really subpar sound from working front speakers. However, headphones work well and eq works great with them.
Is there a chance that the subwoofer isn't connected? No sound at all coming from it.
Checked device manager and everything is fine. Tried installing driver from Dell found in my account. Still no subwoofer sounds at all, not even a crackle.
Seems weird for a new AW build to be missing subwoofer functionality.
Hello! It's been a while since I have this weird problem and still got no solution for it. My microphone used to work normally but all of a sudden it stopped working. As a reference I use skype audio settings to check if it works but the problem is the same even in windows' settings. if I touch the laptop anywhere I got some sound waves but if I talk there is no change. I got an Inspiron 15 3537 windows 10 fresh installation with latest drivers. This problem was the same even on windows 7. Thanks!

I have a problem just recently after formatting my laptop. when am shutting down the screen goes black but i can still hear the cpu working when going near the lap top and even the light on my mouse is on.
in many time i have my battery low and when swithing on again there are no charge at all.
i have even try removing the battery and pressing fn and the power button but this do not work.
i have even try disable turn on fast start up but no changes.
i would be much grateful if someone can help me please as if the mouse is not connected no one will know that the lap top is not switch off. right actually am switching it off with the power button.

im using dell inspiron 15-3521 whenever i connect earphone/headphone to my laptops jack only the left side of the speaker work right side has no sound (inbult laptop speaker works fine).my friend asked me to download (0005-Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R279) driver from realtek web site and I installed it and the problem was solved and this was about 6 to 7 months back
but now im facing the same problem i did the same what i did last time i downloded and re installed the driver but of no use the problem still presists.
so plz guide me what to do to solve the problem.

I just bought my dell inspiron15 5000series last month, my right side speaker stopped working suddenly today while watching a movie, the audio works fine on headphones.
When I use the dock to access Monitor, keyboard etc, none of the system sounds (eg. new email) can be heard. Yet I can play music. Any ideas? Thanks
Just set up my new laptop (Inspiron 17 7000 Series) and have a separate monitor running off the HDMI at my desk. With the monitor plugged in, the HDMI seems to be overriding the audio jack.
I'd like to listen to my headphones while working, but the jack only works if the HDMI is unplugged.
How can I rectify this?
